A successful and growing Β£50m+ turnover construction company is seeking an Assistant Purchase Ledger to join its established finance team based in Southwark. Working alongside an experienced finance team, the successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the purchase ledger function.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing and posting supplier invoices accurately and efficiently.
- Matching, batching and coding invoices.
- Reconciling supplier statements and resolving invoice discrepancies.
- Preparing weekly and monthly payment runs.
- Liaising with suppliers, subcontractors and internal departments to resolve account queries.
- Assisting with month-end procedures and financial reporting.
- Maintaining accurate records using Sage accounting software.
- Supporting the wider finance team with administrative duties as required.
Requirements
- Previous Purchase Ledger experience within a busy finance environment.
- Experience using Sage accounting software.
- Accounting qualification (AAT or equivalent).
- Strong numerical ability and excellent attention to detail.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Confident using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
