<p><b>Job Overview</b><br> Pace Performance is a professional motorsports team based in Shropshire, with over 75 years combined experience racing at the highest levels in the UK and Europe.</p> <p>We are seeking a skilled and experienced Full-time, Permanent, Chief or No. 1 Mechanic to join our team.</p> <p>The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mechanical repairs and maintenance, preferably in a supervisory role. Race car experience is required. The successful applicant will be a dynamic team player, able to work under pressure and with a positive, can-do attitude.</p> <p><b>Duties</b></p> <ul><li>Responsible for running GB4, Ginetta G56 and Ginetta Junior championship race cars, to include preparation and set-up, at-track testing and race support, and in-workshop car preparation.</li> <li>Supervision of Number 1 Mechanics in workshop and at track.</li> <li>Conduct regular inspections and maintenance on all vehicles, tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance.</li> <li>Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance schedules and inventory of parts.</li> <li>Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the workshop environment.</li> <li>Drive company vans, to include towing of trailers – essential.</li> </ul><p><b>Experience</b></p> <ul><li>Proven experience as a race car mechanic, with a minimum of 5 years in a supervisory or lead role preferred.</li> <li>Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.</li> <li>Familiarity with diagnostic tools and equipment used in vehicle repair.</li> <li>Driving licence required.</li> </ul><p>We invite qualified candidates who are passionate about mechanics to apply for this exciting opportunity.</p>
