We are seeking an experienced Manager – Financial Modelling to join the London team on a permanent basis. This role will lead the design, development, and review of complex financial models underpinning major renewable energy transactions, advisory mandates, and strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will combine technical modelling excellence with strong commercial acumen and the ability to work closely with multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the creation, enhancement, and audit of financial models across renewable energy and energy-transition projects.
- Support transaction teams with valuation analysis, sensitivities, bankability assessments, and pricing scenarios.
- Translate project documentation, commercial terms, and technical inputs into accurate financial structures.
- Prepare high-quality analysis and model outputs for clients, investment committees, and lenders.
- Work with internal and external stakeholders — including legal, technical, and market advisors — to validate assumptions and integrate findings into financial models.
- Provide modelling guidance and quality assurance across advisory workstreams.
- Support the preparation of transaction materials, investment papers, and commercial recommendations.
- Mentor and oversee junior analysts, ensuring best practice modelling standards are applied.
- Stay informed of market trends, regulatory changes, and evolving financing structures in the renewable energy sector.
About You
- Advanced Excel skills and a strong command of valuation methodologies and project finance structures.
- Proven track record building, maintaining, and auditing complex financial models.
- Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Comfortable interpreting technical and commercial documentation and incorporating it into financial assumptions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to present findings with clarity and confidence.
- Collaborative mindset, capable of managing multiple workstreams in a fast-paced advisory environment.
- Degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, or related discipline; financial modelling certifications are advantageous.
