Pace Infrastructure are currently recruiting for a Yardman / Labourer to support operations within a busy rail and civil engineering environment. This role is ideal for someone hands-on, reliable, and experienced working within construction, civils, rail, or industrial yard environments.
You will be responsible for maintaining a safe and organised yard, supporting deliveries, loading/unloading materials, and assisting site teams and plant operations as required.
Key Responsibilities- Keeping the yard clean, organised, and operational
- Loading and unloading materials, tools, and equipment
- Assisting with stock control and material management
- Supporting plant operators and site teams
- Carrying out general labouring duties
- Moving equipment and materials safely around the yard/site
- Ensuring health & safety procedures are followed at all times
- Supporting vehicle checks and general upkeep of welfare areas
- Previous experience as a Labourer or Yard Operative
- CSCS Card preferred
- PTS advantageous but NOT a must (for rail environments)
- Forklift or Telehandler tickets advantageous but not a MUST
- Good attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
- Full UK Driving Licence preferred
