We are currently recruiting experienced Shuttering Carpenters for a major new station build project within a live rail and civils environment. Works involve complex reinforced concrete structures and heavy civils packages.
Duties will include:
- Constructing and erecting formwork for:
- Lift pits
- Retaining walls
- Reinforced concrete bases
- LB beams
- Pre-cast concrete units
- Platform and structural civils works
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
- Setting out and assembling shutters accurately to required tolerances
- Working alongside steel fixers and concrete teams during pours
- Striking formwork safely and carrying out remedial works where required
- Ensuring all works comply with quality and health
