The predicted salary is between 25 - 25 £ per hour.

We are currently recruiting experienced Shuttering Carpenters for a major new station build project within a live rail and civils environment. Works involve complex reinforced concrete structures and heavy civils packages.

Duties will include:

  • Constructing and erecting formwork for:
  • Lift pits
  • Retaining walls
  • Reinforced concrete bases
  • LB beams
  • Pre-cast concrete units
  • Platform and structural civils works
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
  • Setting out and assembling shutters accurately to required tolerances
  • Working alongside steel fixers and concrete teams during pours
  • Striking formwork safely and carrying out remedial works where required
  • Ensuring all works comply with quality and health & safety standards
  • Working within rail possession and civils delivery environments
  • Requirements:

    • Blue or Gold CSCS Card
    • Proven experience on RC and heavy civils projects
    • Experience with retaining walls, lift shafts/pits and structural concrete works
    • Ability to read technical drawings
    • PTS preferred (if working rail access areas)
    • Good understanding of safe systems of work
