We are looking for a master of process. Our client is a company that believes in building their people, and they are seeking an experienced P6 Planner to be an integral part of their team. This role is a unique opportunity for someone with a strong technical background to be mentored by a senior leader, with the clear goal of developing into a leadership position.
As a Project Planner, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of project scheduling, from inception to completion. You will work closely with project managers and various teams to create and maintain robust, integrated project schedules using Primavera P6. This role is a crucial part of the project's success, ensuring that all moving parts are aligned and that potential risks are identified and mitigated proactively.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules from first principles using Primavera P6.
- Resource and cost-load programs to accurately reflect project requirements and budgets.
- Conduct critical path analysis and identify potential scheduling issues before they impact the project.
- Monitor project progress and prepare comprehensive reports and forecasts for stakeholders, including earned value management (EVM).
- Facilitate and lead planning workshops and meetings with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors.
- Implement change control processes and update schedules as necessary to reflect scope changes.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members, sharing expertise in project controls and P6.
- Support the Project Manager in the preparation of reports and presentations.
- Proven experience as a Project Planner or Senior Project Planner, with a strong background in large-scale infrastructure, engineering, or construction projects.
- Deep expertise in Primavera P6 is non-negotiable. You must be able to develop, manage, and analyse complex schedules with proficiency.
- A solid understanding of project controls, scheduling methodologies, and industry standards, including critical path method (CPM) scheduling.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- A proactive and ambitious mindset, with a strong desire for personal and professional growth.
