We’re supporting a market-leading organisation delivering some of the UK’s most complex, high-value infrastructure programmes. They are seeking a Project Controls Leader with real authority, visibility and influence across major programmes, clients and executive teams. This is about owning and delivering the project controls strategy.
The Role
As Project Controls Director, you will define, lead and embed best-in-class project controls across major infrastructure programmes. You’ll sit at the intersection of delivery, commercial and executive decision-making, ensuring cost, schedule, risk and performance data genuinely drives outcomes.
Key responsibilities:
- Setting the project controls strategy across £bn-scale infrastructure programmes
- Leading integrated cost, schedule, risk, change and performance management
- Providing clear, trusted insight to executive leadership and clients
- Shaping governance, standards and assurance across programmes
- Supporting scenario planning, recovery strategies and major decisions
- Acting as a senior advisor to programme directors and client leadership
About You
You’re a senior Project Controls leader with the credibility to operate at board and client level. You’re likely to have:
- Experience as a Project Controls Lead/Manager or Head of Project Controls
- A strong track record on major infrastructure programmes (rail, energy, water, transport, civils)
- Deep expertise across planning (Primavera P6), cost, risk and integrated reporting
- The confidence to challenge, influence and advise senior stakeholders
- A strategic mindset with strong commercial awareness
