We are looking for an experienced Senior QA Engineer to join our team in Glasgow. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and release readiness of PACE Anti-Piracy products and supporting systems. You will work closely with engineering and product teams throughout the software development lifecycle, helping to define test strategy, execute validation activities, improve test coverage, and expand our automation capabilities. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled QA professional who enjoys working across a diverse technical landscape, including desktop applications, APIs, developer tools, installers, services, and web-based platforms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing across PACE Anti-Piracy products and related systems.
  • Validate SDK features along with software licensing, protection, enforcement, and activation workflows across supported environments.
  • Test desktop applications, background services, APIs, SDKs, sample integrations, installers, and associated web experiences.
  • Identify, document, and track defects through to resolution, working closely with engineering teams to support timely fixes and retesting.
  • Assess overall product quality and highlight risks, gaps, and release concerns clearly to stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and test execution records aligned with product requirements and release objectives.
  • Maintain a structured test case repository with strong traceability from requirements through to execution and defect resolution.
  • Monitor test coverage and contribute to clear quality reporting for engineering, product, and leadership stakeholders.
  • Identify high-value opportunities for test automation across product areas.
  • Evaluate, recommend, and implement appropriate automation tools, frameworks, and approaches.
  • Develop and maintain automated test suites to improve coverage, efficiency, and repeatability.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of continuous testing within the CI/CD pipeline, with the goal of validating every build wherever practical.
  • Participate actively in Agile and Scrum ceremonies, including planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Work collaboratively with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure quality is considered throughout the development process.
  • Champion best practices in QA, test design, defect management, and release validation.
  • Help improve QA processes, tooling, and methodologies as the team and product portfolio continue to grow.
Skills and Experience
  • Significant experience in a software QA or test engineering role.
  • Strong experience of manual testing across complex software systems.
  • Experience testing desktop applications, APIs, services, installers, and web applications.
  • Experience creating test plans, test cases, and structured quality documentation.
  • Experience with defect tracking and test management tools.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycles, release processes, and Agile delivery methods.
  • Experience building or contributing to automated test frameworks and CI/CD-integrated testing.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Desirable
  • Experience working with developer tools, SDKs, or technical B2B software products.
  • Experience testing licensing, security, software protection, or low-level system components.
  • Familiarity with Windows and macOS testing environments.
  • Experience with scripting or programming for test automation.
  • Understanding of installer validation, system service testing, and end-to-end integration testing.
