We are looking for talented Cost Engineering professionals to support the successful delivery of complex, large-scale capital programmes across infrastructure and construction environments.
This role focuses on providing robust cost management and performance control support across major programmes and projects. You will work closely with planning, commercial, and delivery teams to ensure accurate forecasting, cost visibility, and effective programme controls throughout the project lifecycle.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and maintaining cost control structures aligned to project delivery strategies
- Establishing and managing cost baselines, budgets, and forecasts
- Monitoring project expenditure, commitments, and accruals
- Supporting earned value management (EVM) and performance reporting activities
- Tracking progress against budgets and schedules to identify trends, risks, and variances
- Managing change control processes and assessing cost impacts
- Producing clear, data-driven reports and dashboards for internal and client stakeholders
- Supporting month-end reporting, financial reconciliation, and programme performance reviews
- Collaborating with planning and commercial teams to improve project controls integration
What We're Looking For:
We are particularly interested in candidates with experience supporting major infrastructure or capital delivery programmes. Experience across sectors such as transport, aviation, defence, utilities, energy, or construction would be highly advantageous.
Candidates should demonstrate strong practical experience across:
- Cost engineering and cost control
- Earned value management (EVM)
- Forecasting and budgeting
- Change control and baseline management
- Progress measurement and performance reporting
- Financial analysis and variance reporting
- Working within Primavera P6 project environments
Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with advanced Microsoft Excel capability
- Experience using project controls and cost management systems
- Familiarity with Primavera P6 and reporting platforms
- Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, or similar tools is advantageous
- Ability to interpret large data sets and present meaningful insights to stakeholders
- Degree qualified in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Finance, or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently across project teams and client environments
Senior-level candidates should also demonstrate the ability to work independently, manage stakeholders effectively, and support continuous improvement within project controls functions.
