Location: Sweden (In-country or Rotational)

Sector: Specialist International M&E & Data Centre Contractor

The Reality of the Role

We are looking for a Senior Planning Engineer who will oversee a portfolio of high-tech projects across Sweden. We need someone who gets quiet satisfaction from taking a mountain of drawings, MEP coordination hurdles, and commercial constraints and turning them into a master schedule that actually makes sense. You won’t just be looking at one site; you’ll be the strategic link across a couple of major builds, ensuring that when we say we’re "on track," we actually mean it.

What You’ll Be Doing (The Regional Version)

You’ll be the person the Project Directors and Regional Managers rely on to provide the "real" answer to project health—not the sanitized version, but the one backed by logic, metrics, and hard data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Multi-Project Oversight: Oversee the planning function for a couple of major data centre/high-tech projects, ensuring consistency and logic across the portfolio.
  • The "Buildable" Plan: Work with PMs to move schedules from high-level targets to fully integrated, labor-loaded, and metrics-loaded construction programmes.
  • Truth in Reporting: Produce the trackers, S-curves, and dashboards that tell the real story of progress, validating site data against commercial reality.
  • Client Interface: Lead the conversation with clients or CM teams when programme logic or delays become "open to interpretation."
  • Early Warning System: Spot the risks that others miss. You’ll be raising flags weeks before a delay becomes a crisis.
  • Mentorship: Support project-level planners and site teams, ensuring that planning is treated as a core delivery function, not an administrative task.

The Project Environment

You will be working in the Swedish Data Centre/Mission Critical sector. This is fast-paced, high-visibility work where the "M&E" isn’t just a package—it’s the heart of the project. Whether you are based in-country or working on a rotation, you’ll be part of a team that views planning as the backbone of the entire operation.

Who You Are

This role is pitched at a senior level. You don’t just "do" P6; you understand how a complex building actually goes together.

  • Sector Experience: You have a solid background in multi-discipline projects—Data Centres, Pharma, or MEP-heavy industrial builds are a must.
  • Analytical Mindset: You enjoy solving logic problems and aren’t afraid to say, "The data doesn’t support this schedule," when necessary.
  • Software Mastery: You are an expert in Primavera P6 or ASTA Powerproject.
  • Communication: You can translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership and clients alike.

What’s on Offer

  • Flexibility: We are open to candidates already in-country or those looking for a rotational arrangement.
  • Impact: A senior role where your oversight directly influences the delivery of world-class infrastructure.
  • Support: You’ll have the backing of a Regional Planning Manager who understands the discipline.
  • Package: Top-tier salary, subsistence, and travel support tailored to your location and setup.
