About the School

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our Lunchtime team, providing supervision to our pupils during their lunchtime break. You will be confident and able to relate to all primary school aged children, and a team player, able to contribute to the overall aims of the wider catering and lunch team. The role will include maintaining a clean and tidy lunch area, ensuring food waste is appropriately disposed of as well as engaging children in fun and stimulating play activity whilst modelling acceptable behaviour on the playgrounds.

The Ideal candidate will have:

  • Shared high expectations of behaviour during play and mealtimes, with the ability to positively reinforce expectations to all pupils in an age appropriate manner
  • Shared sense of teamwork and flexibility, with a high level of importance placed on ensuring that the children's best interests are considered at all times
  • Previous experience working or volunteering in a primary school would be an advantage
  • Proven experience engaging children in play based activities and conversations, with the ability to relate to children of all ages
  • Paediatric First Aid qualification would be an advantage but a willingness to undertake the qualification is essential
