Pacadar UK is looking for an experienced and proactive Health & Safety Officer to join our precast concrete manufacturing facility near Rochester. This is a key role within a heavy industrial environment involving lifting operations, heavy machinery, working at height and hazardous substances. You will play a vital role in ensuring legal compliance, protecting our workforce and strengthening our safety culture across the site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Health, Safety and Wellbeing Plans
  • Conduct risk assessments for routine and non-routine activities
  • Lead accident, incident and near-miss investigations
  • Ensure compliance with the Health and Safety at Work Act and COSHH Regulations
  • Deliver weekly Toolbox Talks and HSE inductions
  • Monitor Permit to Work (PTW) systems
  • Carry out regular site inspections and audits
  • Oversee plant, machinery and electrical safety compliance
  • Coordinate safety training programmes
  • Implement traffic management systems for site logistics
  • Support ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 compliance
  • Promote employee engagement and a strong safety culture

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in industrial manufacturing, heavy industry or construction materials
  • Strong knowledge of UK HSE legislation
  • Experience with plant operations, lifting activities and hazardous materials
  • NEBOSH General Certificate (essential)
  • IOSH membership (desirable)
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
