PA Media Group

About Us.

The PA is a beacon of trust for news, content and data.

At the heart of our group is the Press Association, the UK and Ireland’s national news agency, trusted for its impartiality, accuracy and speed for more than 150 years. We bring these standards to everything we do, from news and sports data to content creation and communications.

And we’re beginning an exciting new chapter in Leeds.

Our new home at West Village in the heart of Leeds city centre will bring colleagues from across our business together in a fantastic modern workplace, and we’re looking for an Office Manager who can help make it a brilliant place to work.

The opportunity.

We’re looking for a brilliant organiser and natural people person to become the face of our new Leeds office.

As our Office Manager, you’ll be at the heart of day-to-day life at West Village. You’ll make sure the office runs smoothly, colleagues have what they need and everyone – from a new starter arriving on their first morning to an Executive or external visitor – receives a warm, professional welcome.

This is a varied, hands-on role where no two days are likely to look quite the same. You could be coordinating an office event, sorting a meeting room, welcoming visitors, working with our serviced-office provider or helping colleagues with a workplace query.

You’ll also provide practical administrative support to two members of our Executive Team based in Leeds, including diary and meeting coordination, travel and expenses.

Because you’ll be the person who makes the office tick, this role is based on site at West Village five days a week, Monday to Friday.

What you’ll do.

  • Take ownership of the day-to-day running of our Leeds office, creating a welcoming, organised and professional environment.
  • Be a friendly and visible point of contact for colleagues, visitors and new starters.
  • Work closely with our serviced-office provider and wider Facilities team to make sure everything works as it should.
  • Coordinate meeting rooms, workplace services, equipment, supplies, access passes and office inductions.
  • Help organise seating and workspace arrangements as our Leeds community develops.
  • Coordinate office communications and keep colleagues informed about what’s happening locally.
  • Support office events, colleague activities, leadership meetings and workshops.
  • Build effective relationships with suppliers and service providers.
  • Act as our local Health & Safety coordinator, with support from the wider business.
  • Provide diary and meeting support to two Leeds-based Executives.
  • Help coordinate occasional travel, accommodation, expenses, meeting papers and documentation.

What you’ll bring.

You don’t need to come from a particular industry. What matters is that you’re someone who genuinely enjoys making things work well and creating a great experience for other people.

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

  • Experience in an Office Manager, Workplace Coordinator, Senior Administrator, PA or similar role.
  • Excellent organisation skills and the ability to stay on top of lots of moving parts.
  • A warm, confident and approachable style, with the ability to build relationships at every level.
  • Great attention to detail and the initiative to spot what needs doing without always needing to be asked.
  • The confidence to deal with suppliers, colleagues, visitors and senior leaders.
  • Experience coordinating diaries, meetings and events.
  • Good Microsoft Office skills.
  • A practical, solutions-focused approach and the ability to prioritise when plans change.
  • Discretion and professionalism when dealing with confidential information.

What we offer.

At PA you’ll receive a benefits package designed to support your life in and outside work, including:

  • 25 days’ holiday plus public holidays, with a holiday purchase scheme.
  • Annual Wellbeing Day and eight hours of paid volunteering time.
  • Pension, life assurance, Wellhub access, learning opportunities and a Bupa Health Cash Plan through salary sacrifice.
  • A fantastic modern workplace at West Village in the heart of Leeds city centre, just a seven-minute walk from Leeds station.
  • Rooftop terraces, collaborative spaces, a wellness studio, showers and extensive cycle storage.
  • A brilliant city-centre location with shops, cafés, restaurants and bars on the doorstep, plus exclusive discounts across Leeds covering food and drink, fitness, entertainment and accommodation.
  • The opportunity as our Office Manager, to play a real part in shaping the experience of our new Leeds home.
