This is a brand‑new role and an exciting opportunity to help shape and grow PA Media Group’s Expert Hub service. As Expert Hub Content Editor, you will play a central role in building the value of the service; connecting trusted expert voices with the news agenda, strengthening our expert network and driving engagement with customers. Working closely with the Expert Hub Manager, you will combine editorial judgement, data insight and proactive outreach to ensure the service delivers timely, relevant and high‑quality expert content. This is a hands‑on role with real scope to influence how the product evolves, how we engage experts and how we create value for clients.

What you’ll do:

  • Manage and develop the Expert Hub database, ensuring it is accurate, relevant and continuously growing.
  • Identify opportunities from the news agenda and proactively connect experts to breaking stories.
  • Commission and curate expert insight, adding value to the PA news wire and customer outputs.
  • Vet and verify expert submissions, maintaining high editorial and credibility standards.
  • Build strong relationships with experts, supporting retention and engagement.
  • Use data and analytics to track performance, identify trends and inform improvements.
  • Support the ongoing development and growth of the Expert Hub service.

About you:

  • You bring a proactive approach to your work, with the ability to manage your own workload, respond quickly to the news agenda and produce accurate, high‑quality content under pressure.
  • You’re confident working across systems and data, and keen to develop your skills in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
  • You will bring NCTJ (or equivalent) qualification and experience working in a newsroom, ideally within an agency.
  • Strong self‑management skills with a proactive, can‑do approach.
  • The ability to produce fast, clean and error‑free content, even under pressure.
  • Good editorial judgement and an eye for spotting stories and opportunities.
  • A sound understanding of media law and editorial standards.
  • Experience of working with CMS platforms such as WordPress.
  • A good understanding of database management.
  • Strong research and data analysis skills.

Experience in breaking news or working with expert commentary services would be advantageous.
