About us
Alamy is a global stock content platform with a library of over 400 million images, illustrations, vectors, and videos that fuel creativity for individuals, media organisations, agencies, and enterprise brands worldwide. We support an expansive community of contributors and customers, and our mission is to make it effortless for creators to find the content they need to bring ideas to life.
Beyond what we do, who we are truly defines us. At Alamy, you’ll join a fun, inclusive, and highly collaborative team that’s passionate about driving success and shaping the future of our brand. We’re a group of problem-solvers, innovators, and storytellers who care deeply about impact - always looking for ways to optimise, grow, and push boundaries together. If you want to be part of a team that champions creativity, encourages fresh thinking, and celebrates shared wins, you’ll feel right at home here.
About the role
We're on the lookout for a brilliant sales person. Not someone who's happy keeping the wheels turning. You'll inherit a book of business, but not a book of business to simply maintain. We're looking for someone who sees every customer as an opportunity for growth - increasing spend, opening doors to new stakeholders and finding opportunities that others might miss.
You’ll manage the full commercial relationship, from understanding a customer’s needs and identifying opportunities through to negotiating complex licensing agreements and closing the deal. Because what we sell is not simply “one product, one price”, you’ll need the commercial judgement to understand the value of different uses and build solutions that work for both the customer and Alamy.
You’ll have plenty of autonomy to run your portfolio like your own business, supported by a small, experienced and highly collaborative sales team. You’ll also spend meaningful time out meeting customers, building relationships and developing opportunities face to face. If you enjoy the relationship-building side of account management but have the drive and curiosity of a new-business salesperson, this role offers genuine scope to make an impact.
About you
To succeed in this role, you’ll be an experienced B2B salesperson who knows how to turn existing customer relationships into sustainable commercial growth. You’ll be comfortable taking ownership of an established portfolio, but you won’t be content simply renewing the same business each year. You’ll naturally look for the next opportunity, whether that means increasing spend, finding a new stakeholder or opening a conversation with another team within the customer’s organisation.
You’ll also demonstrate:
- Proven success in B2B sales, business development or enterprise account growth
- A track record of growing existing accounts and uncovering new commercial opportunities
- Strong commercial negotiation and relationship-building skills
- A proactive, self-motivated approach with the confidence to work autonomously
- A consultative sales style, focused on understanding customer needs and delivering value
- Comfortable building relationships with senior stakeholders
- A collaborative mindset and the drive to spend time with customers, not just behind a desk
Experience in image, media, music or another form of licensing would be a real advantage. It is not essential, but you will need to be comfortable selling something whose value depends on how it will be used, rather than working from a straightforward fixed price.
What we offer
Alongside a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including:
- 5 weeks’ holiday plus 8 public holidays
- Holiday purchase scheme
- Enhanced maternity, paternity and adoption pay
- Company pension
- Life assurance (4x salary)
- Annual wellbeing day and volunteering day
- Flexible working (2 days remote)
- Commission: Quarterly commission scheme with an On-Target Earnings (OTE) of up to 40% of basic salary. Individual targets are tailored to your portfolio, with enhanced commission available for exceeding performance targets.
