Goodman Masson is delighted to be partnering with PA Housing to appoint a Director of Asset Investment.
This is a significant executive leadership opportunity to shape the future of a diverse housing portfolio and lead one of the sector's most important investment agendas.
Reporting into the Executive Director of Asset Management, you will be responsible for developing and delivering long-term asset strategies, major investment programmes and portfolio improvement initiatives that enhance residents' homes and communities.
Leading a team of approximately 70 colleagues through five direct reports, you will oversee an annual investment budget of £30m-£40m and play a key role in delivering PA Housing's strategic ambitions, including its commitment to sustainability, decarbonisation and customer satisfaction.
The Opportunity
As Director of Asset Investment, you will
- Lead the development and delivery of PA Housing's long, medium and short-term asset management strategies.
- Shape investment decisions across the portfolio, ensuring resources are directed to maximise asset performance, resident outcomes and long-term value.
- Oversee the delivery of PA Housing's major works, stock improvement and planned investment programmes.
- Lead the organisation's retrofit and decarbonisation agenda, helping deliver net zero ambitions and improve the energy efficiency of homes.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement across investment planning, programme delivery and asset performance.
- Lead the procurement and management of major investment contracts and strategic partnerships.
- Provide strategic insight and assurance to the Executive Management Team and Board through robust reporting, analysis and performance management.
- Ensure asset data is accurate, reliable and supports informed decision-making across the organisation.
- Champion a customer-focused approach, ensuring resident feedback influences investment priorities and programme delivery.
- Build and lead a high-performing team culture focused on accountability, collaboration and excellence.
About You
We are seeking an accomplished asset management leader with a proven track record of delivering large-scale investment programmes and driving strategic asset performance.
You will bring
- Significant senior leadership experience within asset management, capital investment, property services or a related environment.
- A strong understanding of asset strategy, stock investment planning and portfolio optimisation.
- Experience overseeing substantial capital budgets and delivering complex investment programmes.
- A successful track record of leading organisational change, service transformation and performance improvement.
- Strong commercial, financial and strategic planning capabilities.
- Experience presenting to and influencing Executive Teams, Boards and external stakeholders.
- A passion for improving homes, communities and customer outcomes.
- The ability to inspire, develop and lead high-performing teams.
