Are you a natural problem solver who loves building relationships and getting things done?
We’re looking for a proactive and collaborative Third Party Contract Officer to join our Contracts and Partnerships team. You’ll play a key role in supporting the management of our third‑party agreements across homeownership schemes — everything from communal cleaning and landscaping to pest control and tree management.
If you’re great at communication, love finding practical solutions, and want to make a difference for residents, this could be the role for you.
What’s in it for you….
In addition to the salary, we offer a number of benefits, including:
- Health cash plans
- 26 days’ annual leave, increasing to 29 after three years, with the opportunity to buy more
- Flexible bank holidays – take them when it suits you
- Car leasing scheme
- Hybrid working – offering you the flexibility to thrive in your role. You\’ll have the opportunity to blend the best of both worlds, spending approximately two to three days per week in the office once settled in the role. This is flexible and depends on meeting cycles and board activity. We also offer an optional nine‑day fortnight scheme, allowing you to compress your hours if it suits the role.
What you’ll be doing…
- Support the management of all third‑party agreements and contracts for PA Housing’s homeownership properties
- Help monitor contract performance, KPIs, and service delivery standards
- Support compliance with legal and PA Housing requirements
- Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, managing agents, and resident associations
- Help resolve disputes and work collaboratively to find fair, practical solutions
- Assist with audits, reporting, and maintaining accurate records of contract performance
- Promote resident involvement in decision‑making and community activities
- Contribute to the smooth running and continuous improvement of the wider service
What we’re looking for…
You’ll thrive in this role if you:
- Have experience working with third‑party contracts, ideally within housing or property services
- Are confident engaging with residents, contractors, and partners at all levels
- Understand leases, service level agreements, and compliance standards
- Have strong organisational and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure
- Embrace PA Housing’s values of respect, integrity, and accountability in everything you do
- Are approachable, professional, and committed to providing excellent customer service
- Bring a flexible, “can‑do” attitude and a willingness to challenge and improve processes
- Are comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
At PA Housing, we believe in respect, integrity, and accountability. Our work is about people – not just properties – and we’re always looking for ways to do better. If that sounds like your kind of place, we’d love to hear from you.
Disclosure and Barring Service
This role requires the successful candidate to complete a standard DBS check. A standard DBS check will show any spent and unspent convictions.
So why do we need to know this information? This role will be required to visit/support PA Housing residents in their own homes on a regular basis. Therefore we have a duty to our residents to ensure that we have taken precautions regarding who will be visiting them and representing PA Housing.
Having unspent convictions will not necessarily preclude you from being recruited into the role; if you are potentially the successful candidate, we will complete a risk assessment with you to understand the circumstances around your conviction, how relevant they are to the post you have applied for and what remedial action, if any, have you taken since your conviction. Suitable references will also need to be obtained prior to commencement of employment.
