Are you an experienced housing professional who knows how to bring out the best in people and deliver great results for customers? We're looking for a Home Moves Manager to lead our Home Moves Team and make sure residents receive an excellent service when they need to move home. You'll lead a team responsible for mutual exchanges, managed moves and decants, making sure residents receive the right support throughout what can be a stressful or unsettling time. With a strong focus on performance, customer experience and continuous improvement, you'll work closely with colleagues and external partners to find solutions, improve services and make a real difference to our residents.

What's in it for you? In addition to the salary, we offer a number of benefits, including:

  • Health cash plans
  • 26 days annual leave, increasing to 29 after three years, with the opportunity to buy more
  • Flexible bank holidays - take them when it suits you
  • Car leasing scheme
  • Hybrid working - offering you the flexibility to thrive in your role. You'll have the opportunity to blend the best of both worlds, spending approximately two to three days per week in the office once settled in the role. This is flexible and depends on meeting cycles and board activity.
  • Optional nine-day fortnight scheme, allowing you to compress your hours if it suits the role.

What you'll be doing: You'll lead the day-to-day Home Moves service, supporting your team to deliver great outcomes for residents while driving performance and continuous improvement. Here's a snapshot:

  • Lead and manage the Home Moves Team, setting clear expectations and driving high performance
  • Ensure residents receive an effective and customer-focused rehousing service across mutual exchanges, managed moves and decants
  • Set and monitor individual and team targets, using performance information to identify opportunities and drive results
  • Coach, motivate and develop colleagues through regular appraisals, feedback and personal action plans
  • Work with the Head of Home Moves to develop our strategic approach to rehousing and decants
  • Build strong relationships with internal teams, Local Authorities and external partners to improve outcomes for residents
  • Identify barriers, analyse performance and implement practical improvements to the service
  • Keep up to date with legislation, regulation, Welfare Reform and best practice, ensuring the service remains compliant and responsive

What we're looking for: We're looking for someone who can bring strong housing knowledge, confident leadership and a genuine commitment to delivering great customer outcomes. You'll bring:

  • Proven people management experience, with the ability to motivate, coach and develop high-performing teams
  • A strong customer focus, with the ability to adapt services and find solutions for individual customer needs
  • Experience of setting and achieving challenging targets, using data and insight to improve performance
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills, with the confidence to work with a wide range of stakeholders
  • A track record of leading change, improving services and delivering positive outcomes for customers
