Do you enjoy helping people find a place they can truly call home? We’re looking for a proactive and customer-focused Lettings Officer to join our team at PA Housing. This is a key role where you’ll manage the lettings process from start to finish, including arranging and carrying out viewings, progressing sign-ups, supporting applicants, working with partners, and ensuring our homes are let quickly and fairly. You’ll be at the heart of creating positive first experiences for new residents, making sure they feel informed, supported, and set up for a successful tenancy. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and making a real difference to people’s lives, we’d love to hear from you. This isn’t just about filling properties; it’s about building strong, sustainable communities.

What’s in it for you:

  • In addition to the salary, we offer a number of benefits, including:
  • High street discount schemes
  • Health cash plans
  • 26 days annual leave, increasing to 29 after three years, with the opportunity to buy more
  • Flexible bank holidays - take them when it suits you
  • Car leasing scheme
  • Hybrid working - offering you the flexibility to thrive in your role. You'll have the opportunity to blend the best of both worlds, spending approximately two to three days per week in the office once settled in the role. This is flexible and depends on meeting cycles and board activity.
  • We also offer an optional nine-day fortnight scheme, allowing you to compress your hours if it suits the role.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Manage the end-to-end lettings process, from allocation through to sign-up
  • Carry out property viewings and tenancy sign-ups, ensuring a smooth and positive experience
  • Provide clear advice and support to applicants and residents, including those who may be vulnerable
  • Work closely with local authorities and partners to deliver nomination and lettings agreements
  • Support tenancy sustainment by identifying risks early and making referrals where needed
  • Promote and market properties, including harder-to-let homes
  • Monitor performance and help reduce void turnaround times
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with housing legislation and internal policies
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure a seamless customer journey
  • Handle feedback and complaints professionally, using insights to improve services

What we’re looking for:

  • We’d love to hear from you if you:
  • Have experience in a customer-facing role (ideally within housing or a similar environment)
  • Understand lettings, allocations, or tenancy processes within social housing
  • Have knowledge of housing legislation (Housing Acts 1985, 1988, and 1996 desirable)
  • Are a strong communicator who can build trust with residents and partners
  • Are organised and able to manage a busy and varied workload
  • Are confident handling difficult conversations and making decisions
  • Have a customer-first mindset and a passion for delivering excellent service
  • Are comfortable using digital systems and maintaining accurate records
  • Have an understanding of safeguarding and supporting vulnerable customers (desirable)
  • Bring a proactive, solution-focused approach and enjoy improving processes

If specific qualifications are required, please upload them with your application to demonstrate your eligibility. At PA Housing, we believe in respect, integrity, and accountability. Our work is about people - not just properties - and we’re always looking for ways to do better. If that sounds like your kind of place, we’d love to hear from you.
