Are you an experienced contracts manager who enjoys getting things done, improving services and making a difference to neighbourhoods?

Were looking for an Estates Contracts Manager to lead the effective management of our estate services contracts and help make sure our neighbourhoods are clean, safe and well maintained.

From grounds maintenance and communal cleaning to tree management, pest control and bulk refuse, youll work with contractors, colleagues and residents to make sure services are delivered to a high standard, offer value for money and provide a great resident experience.

This is a hands-on leadership role where youll have the opportunity to challenge, improve and shape how our estate services are delivered.

Please note this is a Fixed Term Contract until 31/03/2028

What youll be doing

Youll take the lead on managing our estate services contracts, making sure they deliver great results for residents and value for money. Heres a snapshot:

  • Manage the performance and delivery of key estate services contracts, including grounds maintenance, communal cleaning, tree management, pest control and bulk refuse
  • Monitor contractor performance, carry out audits and resolve contractual issues to ensure services meet agreed standards
  • Manage service charges, contract costs and expenditure, identifying opportunities to improve value for money
  • Build strong relationships with contractors, residents, community groups, local authorities and internal teams
  • Use KPIs, data and resident feedback to identify trends, address issues and improve service performance
  • Lead and support colleagues, setting clear expectations, managing performance and creating a positive team culture
  • Support strategic planning and identify new approaches that improve resident engagement and satisfaction
  • Challenge existing ways of working, lead improvements and help shape the future delivery of estate services

Were looking for an experienced contract manager who combines strong commercial awareness with excellent customer and people skills. Youll bring:

  • Proven experience in contract management, ideally within housing, estate management or a similar environment
  • Experience managing contracts, budgets, suppliers and service performance
  • Strong leadership skills, with experience managing and developing teams
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to improve performance
  • A customer-focused and proactive approach, with a genuine interest in improving neighbourhoods and resident experience
