We’re looking for a confident and capable Estate Services Contract Manager to take charge of the day-to-day delivery of key estate services across our Surrey and London regions. You’ll be managing contracts for things like grounds maintenance, cleaning, bulk waste, and caretaking making sure our neighbourhoods look great and work well for the people who live there. This isn’t just about keeping the grass cut and the bins empty it’s about leading a team, working with suppliers, driving performance, and making a real difference to the lives of our residents. What you’ll be doing:
- Oversee day-to-day estate services including cleaning, caretaking, tree management, bulk refuse, and grounds maintenance
- Lead and support a team of caretakers and Estate Services Officers
- Monitor contractor performance, making sure we’re delivering top-notch service and value for money
- Build strong partnerships with local authorities and suppliers
- Keep a tight handle on budgets, making sure we stay on track and efficient
- Use data and feedback to improve our services and meet residents’ needs
- Be a visible and approachable leader for your team encouraging innovation, high performance, and job satisfaction
- Make sure everything we do is safe, compliant, and resident-focused
What we’re looking for:
- Has a strong background in estate services or grounds management
- Knows their stuff when it comes to landscape maintenance, cleaning, trees, and contract delivery
- Holds a relevant horticultural qualification (like NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
- Has a solid understanding of service charges and budget management
- Is a people-person great at motivating teams, dealing with contractors, and keeping residents happy
- Is organised, reliable, and always looking for ways to do things better
- Has a ‘can do’ attitude and genuinely cares about the places our residents call home
