Are you a finance professional who enjoys keeping things accurate, organised and moving in the right direction?

Were looking for a Finance & Administrative Officer to support our accommodation service with income collection, financial administration and resident queries.

Youll play an important role in keeping rent and service charge accounts on track, supporting residents with their queries and making sure our financial records are accurate and up to date.

This is a varied role where youll work closely with residents, colleagues and stakeholders, helping to resolve queries, reduce arrears and make sure our accommodation services run smoothly

Please note this is a fixed term contract until 30th November 2028.

What youll be doing

Youll play a key role in keeping our accommodation service financially accurate and running smoothly. Heres a snapshot:

  • Provide advice and support to residents on rent, service charges and arrears
  • Monitor rent accounts, support arrears reduction and arrange payments or payment plans where appropriate
  • Manage occupancy and void information and raise quarterly invoices for the Hospital Trust
  • Process income accurately through our Housing Management and Finance systems
  • Process payments, purchase orders and invoices, ensuring financial procedures and deadlines are followed
  • Maintain accurate financial, property, furniture and equipment records
  • Support month-end processes and ensure financial information is accurate and up to date
  • Work with colleagues to improve processes and find more efficient ways of working

What were looking for:

Were looking for someone who is numerate, organised and confident working with both financial information and customers. Youll bring:

  • Previous experience in finance, accounts or finance administration
  • Good knowledge of Excel and experience using financial systems
  • Strong attention to detail, with accurate data entry and record-keeping skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to deal sensitively with residents and stakeholders
  • The ability to manage competing priorities, work to deadlines and follow financial procedures
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach with the confidence to resolve issues and know when to escalate.
