The Role

Higher Education is undergoing a massive digital shift, and we need a Salesforce Developer who can help modernise the digital experience across the entire student lifecycle leveraging the Salesforce Education Cloud. At PA, you will be part of a team that respects technical craft. We’re not looking for someone to simply clear a ticket queue; we need a developer who considers the long‑term scalability of their work and takes pride in creating elegant solutions to the nuanced problems faced by modern universities.

What You Will Do

• Design, develop, and maintain solutions on Salesforce Education Cloud to enhance the student lifecycle experience.
• Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Build custom applications using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and declarative tools within Salesforce.
• Integrate Salesforce with other systems using APIs and middleware, ensuring data consistency and security.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes to ensure high‑quality deliverables.
• Stay up to date with Salesforce releases and best practices, applying them to improve solutions.
• Provide technical guidance and support to colleagues and clients, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Essential requirements

What You Will Bring

• 2‑3 years of experience in Salesforce development.
• Salesforce Platform Administrator certification; Education Cloud Consultant certification desired.
• Understanding of Salesforce architecture and its ecosystem.
• Proficient with programming languages such as Apex and JavaScript.
• Knowledge of relational databases and SQL.
• Experience with Salesforce integrations and APIs.

Please be aware that some of our UK roles at PA Consulting require a UK security clearance. All PA people are required to undergo background checks and to achieve the Baseline Personnel Security Standard; however, some UK roles also require higher levels of National Security Vetting, where applicants must have at least 5 years of continuous residency in the UK. We therefore ask that you only apply if you meet the residency requirements (i.e. you are a British citizen or have been resident in the UK for the past 5 years), as this is the prerequisite for a security clearance. • Round 1: Either a competency or technical interview (60 mins).
• Round 2: Either a competency or technical interview, whichever you didn’t do at first round (60 mins).
• Final round: Meeting with a PA leader – a mini case study and discussion around your client‑centricity (60 mins).
