We believe in the power of ingenuity to build a positive human future. As strategies, technologies, and innovation collide, we create opportunity from complexity. Our teams of interdisciplinary experts combine innovative thinking and breakthrough technologies to progress further, faster. Our clients adapt and transform, and together we achieve enduring results.
We are over 4,000 strategists, innovators, designers, consultants, digital experts, scientists, engineers, and technologists. And we have deep expertise in consumer and manufacturing, defence and security, energy and utilities, financial services, government and public services, health and life sciences, and transport. Our teams operate globally from offices across the UK, Ireland, US, Nordics, and Netherlands.
In a world with ever more complex challenges, asset management is an increasingly important discipline to ensure asset owning and managing organisations get the service and ultimately business outcomes they require from their asset base. We work with organisations who own or manage some of the world’s most interesting large physical infrastructure, guiding them on the journey of increasing the sophistication of their asset management practices. These organisations also span the full spectrum of asset management maturity; from those new to the concept whom we help understand and put in place the fundamental building blocks of good asset management, to those who are mature and are seeking to push the asset management boundaries, with whom we implement digital innovations.
Working across multiple sectors, such as transport, energy, water, nuclear and defence and across a vast array of maturity levels, means that our asset management work is exciting and varied. For example, we:
- deliver major transformation programmes
- optimise the adoption of innovative technologies to achieve major performance and cost efficiencies
- develop leading-edge regulatory business plans
- design optimised and differentiated asset investment strategies and plans
- perform complex analysis on asset information to drive insights and decisions
The way we approach asset management at PA is different to many. We combine our asset management experience across multiple sectors, with wider PA expertise in areas such as innovation, digital, human capital to bring truly ingenious, well‑rounded, practical solutions to our clients.
We're not looking for experts in asset management. We're looking for people who can help asset‑intensive organisations change. We're looking for people who understand how infrastructure businesses really work and who can influence meaningful change across them. You may work in transport, utilities, energy, nuclear, defence or another asset‑intensive sector. What matters most is not whether you hold a particular qualification, but whether you understand the challenges of running complex organisations, balancing competing priorities, and translating strategy into practical action.
Our strongest people combine business insight with delivery credibility. They understand how investment, operations, engineering, digital capabilities, regulation and organisational performance come together to create outcomes. They know how decisions are made, how change happens, and how to build alignment across diverse stakeholder groups. They are trusted by colleagues, well connected across their industry, and recognised for bringing people together to make things happen.
We are particularly interested in people who have experience of:
- leading or supporting investment planning, asset strategy, operational improvement, business transformation, digital and data programmes, organisational design, or the implementation of major systems and capabilities
Experience of working across capital and operational environments, translating long‑term ambitions into deliverable programmes, and helping organisations navigate uncertainty would be highly valuable.
Successful candidates will be curious, commercially aware and comfortable tackling complex problems. They will be able to communicate clearly with everyone from executive leadership teams to front‑line operations, distilling complexity into practical decisions and actionable insights. They will enjoy working collaboratively, leading teams, developing opportunities and helping clients address some of their most important strategic and operational challenges.
Most importantly, we're looking for people who understand the business behind the assets, can influence outcomes beyond their immediate role, and want to help organisations deliver lasting change.
