The Principal Consultant will lead and deliver PLM solutions across all phases of the product lifecycle, with a primary focus on Digital Engineering. This role involves hands‑on delivery, design, and governance, collaborating closely with clients to drive transformation initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver PLM solutions for product and technology portfolio management.
- Guide programme delivery and governance.
- Drive multidisciplinary design and optimisation processes.
- Ensure connected verification and certification.
- Implement smart manufacturing and optimised sustainment strategies.
- Conduct PLM diagnostics and develop business cases.
- Define business architecture, operating model, and PLM solution blueprints.
- Lead PLM transformation initiatives throughout the engagement lifecycle.
Core Qualifications
- PLM Leadership: 10+ years of experience, working with major PLM vendors; experience with Siemens solutions is an advantage.
- Technical Expertise: Deep hands‑on knowledge of core PLM processes such as BOM management, change/config, variant/options management, CAD/CAE integration, ALM/requirements trace, maintenance and through‑life support.
- Business Acumen: Proven ability to shape business cases, develop implementation roadmaps, and hold executive‑level conversations.
- Consulting Experience: Demonstrated skill in managing client stakeholders and all phases of the consulting engagement lifecycle.
Desirable Qualifications
- Degree: Engineering or related subject.
- Standards & Frameworks: Proficiency in ISO/IEC/IEEE 15288, TOGAF, EIA‑649, STEP/PLCS awareness, AS9145, ISO 9001/27001; understanding of defence export‑control constraints.
- Industry Experience: Knowledge of Defence or other discrete manufacturing practices.
