As an Associate Delivery Manager, you are an emerging delivery practitioner responsible for supporting the delivery of digital projects and products. You play an active role in running delivery processes, maintaining structure and supporting teams to deliver effectively. You will work closely with Delivery Managers and Senior Delivery Managers, contributing to planning, reporting, coordination and team practices. You are building confidence in leading smaller delivery activities and engaging with clients. You will gain exposure to AI‑enabled delivery environments, developing your understanding of how emerging tools can support delivery activities such as reporting, planning and collaboration. You will typically spend around 85% of your time in delivery and 15% contributing to learning, capability development and supporting business activities.

What you’ll do:

  • Support the delivery of digital products, services and transformation initiatives.
  • Help run core agile delivery practices such as stand‑ups, planning sessions, retrospectives and reviews.
  • Maintain project artefacts including plans, roadmaps, RAID logs and delivery documentation.
  • Manage team collaboration tools (e.g. Jira, Confluence), ensuring information is accurate and up to date.
  • Track delivery progress, gather metrics (e.g. burndown, velocity) and support reporting to stakeholders.
  • Identify risks, issues and dependencies, escalating appropriately.
  • Support backlog management, including contributing to the creation and refinement of epics and user stories.
  • Help facilitate team routines and ensure they are well prepared and effective.
  • Support client understanding of delivery processes, contributing to discussions and communications.
  • Use AI tools (where appropriate) to assist with administrative tasks, reporting and idea generation.
  • Contribute to proposals, internal knowledge sharing and team activities.

Who you are:

  • An early‑career delivery practitioner with experience working on digital or technology projects.
  • Familiar with agile methodologies (e.g. Scrum, Kanban) and delivery tools.
  • Organised, detail‑oriented and able to manage your own workload effectively.
  • A strong communicator who works well within teams and with stakeholders.
  • Curious and proactive, motivated to learn new tools, techniques and delivery practices.
  • Interested in building your capability in AI‑enabled delivery environments.

How you operate:

  • You are hands‑on and actively contribute to delivery activities and team processes.
  • You learn by doing, building your skills through experience, feedback and collaboration.
  • You follow structured delivery approaches while beginning to understand when to adapt them.
  • You communicate clearly, ensuring stakeholders are kept informed and aligned.
  • You take ownership of your work and seek support when needed.
  • You focus on supporting teams to deliver clear, tangible outcomes rather than just tasks.

Qualifications & experience:

  • Typically 2–4 years of experience within a digital delivery, project support, Scrum Master or related context.
  • Foundational experience in agile delivery methodologies and frameworks.
  • Experience using tools such as Jira, Confluence or similar collaboration platforms.
  • Understanding of core delivery concepts such as planning, backlog management, risk tracking and reporting.
  • Exposure to delivery metrics and reporting (e.g. burndown, velocity).
  • Experience contributing to team delivery processes and supporting delivery teams.
  • Working towards or holding relevant certifications (e.g. Scrum Master) is beneficial.
  • Interest in developing capability in AI-enabled delivery environments.

Why this role may not be the right fit:

  • If you’re looking for a senior leadership or fully autonomous delivery role.
  • If you prefer working outside of delivery teams rather than within them.
  • If you’re not interested in developing your delivery capability and learning new practices.
  • If you’re uncomfortable working in agile or evolving environments.
