Prince Arthur Chelsea is looking for a talented and passionate Pastry Chef to join our kitchen team. We are looking for someone with strong pastry fundamentals, excellent attention to detail and the ability to take responsibility for their section. You will play an important role in developing and delivering a high-quality pastry and dessert offering for our restaurant. Key responsibilities and skills: Strong knowledge of pastry fundamentals Experience with cakes, mousses, creams and entremets Choux, shortcrust, sweet and puff pastry Tarts and plated desserts Caramel and tuilles Ice creams, sorbets and parfaits Bread and enriched doughs Plating and finishing desserts to a high standard Understanding of stabilisers, gels and modern pastry techniques Accurate weighing and recipe execution Excellent mise en place and organisation Good time management and ability to work independently Consistent portioning and presentation Ability to work efficiently during busy service Stock rotation, storage and minimising waste Strong knowledge of food safety and HACCP Maintaining a clean and organised pastry section Professional qualities: Reliable and punctual Good communication with the pastry team and wider kitchen Takes direction well Able to train and assist Commis Chefs Calm and professional under pressure Excellent attention to detail Positive attitude and willingness to learn Takes ownership and responsibility for their section This is an exciting opportunity to join the team at Prince Arthur Chelsea as we establish our new Basque restaurant and develop our pastry and dessert offering.
