We have a fantastic new job opportunity to join our team at PA Ark Projects Ltd & Salisbury Support Services for a caring and enthusiastic Support Worker to provide person-centred care and supported living support for adults with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs.

MULTIPLE JOBS AVAILABLE

SALARY: £12.71 to £13.57 per Hour, depending on skills and qualifications (pay review pending) + Benefits

LOCATION: Merston, Chichester and Bognor Regis, West Sussex

JOB TYPE: Full-Time and Part-Time, Permanent Hours Available

WORKING HOURS: Full-Time 38 or 39 Hours per Week and Part-Time opportunities available

JOB OVERVIEW

PA Ark Projects Ltd and Salisbury Support Services are expanding and we now have fantastic new job opportunities for a Support Worker to join friendly supported living teams, helping adults with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs live fulfilling, independent lives. As the Support Worker you will provide person-centred support that promotes independence, dignity and choice. Working alongside an experienced and supportive team, you will help individuals develop everyday living skills, access the local community, attend appointments, enjoy social activities and work towards personal goals. Every day is different, and this is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is compassionate, reliable and motivated to make a genuine difference to people’s lives.

DUTIES

  • Person-Centred Support: Provide caring, respectful and individual support that promotes independence, dignity and choice
  • Independence and Life Skills: Encourage individuals to develop everyday living skills and achieve personal goals
  • Personal Care: Provide personal care where required, ensuring people are supported with respect and sensitivity
  • Community Access: Support individuals to attend appointments, enjoy social activities and access their local community
  • Positive Behaviour Support: Use positive behaviour support approaches to help reduce and manage behaviours of concern
  • Record Keeping: Write accurate daily records and contribute to support plans
  • Collaborative Working: Work closely with colleagues, families and healthcare professionals to provide a high standard of care

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

ESSENTIAL

  • Caring, compassionate and patient approach
  • Positive, reliable and motivated to make a difference
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Confident communicator with good written and verbal English
  • Committed to providing high-quality, person-centred support
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Able to commute to services in Merston, Chichester and Bognor Regis
  • Willingness to work alternate weekends, Bank Holidays and sleep-in shifts
  • Flexibility to work across services that operate around the clock

DESIRABLE

  • Previous experience as a Support Worker
  • RQF/QCF qualification, or equivalent, in Health & Social Care
  • Previous care experience would be welcomed, although full training is provided
  • Full UK Manual Driving Licence
