Salary: £30,000 - £37,000 depending on qualifications and experience

Aims of the role:

  • To achieve positive outcomes for Young People in placement by line managing the Residential Support Workers to deliver an effective service.
  • To support on the growth and development of the organisation as a reputable service provider for Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children.
  • To liaise with external professionals across education, social care, health and other services to ensure services for Young Peoples care meet statutory requirements (Ofsted) and best practice standards.

Essential Criteria:

  • Management / supervisory experience within children's services.
  • Experience of leading, managing and motivating a team, ensuring effective performance management to fulfil organisational objectives.
  • Knowledge of legislation and statutory responsibilities in relation to Children and Young People in care.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of people and issues in a political context.
  • Good communication skills and inter-personal skills, including written and presentation skills.
  • Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management (social care) or prepared to work towards this qualification, funded by ourselves.
  • Ability to travel across the South West and flexibility to work evenings and weekends, when necessary.
