  • Settlement negotiations and agreements
  • ACAS conciliation
  • Employment Tribunal claims

The role will suit a commercially minded UK-qualified junior employment lawyer with strong technical foundations, excellent communication skills and a practical, solutions-focused approach.

The Employment Associate's role includes:

  • Advising employers and senior executives on day-to-day employee relations and strategic people issues
  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts, policies and settlement agreements
  • Supporting on Employment Tribunal matters, including pleadings, evidence preparation and hearing support
  • Delivering pragmatic HR advisory support across a varied and high-calibre client base

Expect meaningful client contact from day one, with real scope to build your profile and develop your own client relationships as you progress.

The ideal Employment Associate will be a UK-qualified junior lawyer with solid employment law experience (contentious and/or advisory), training and/or current experience within a law firm or strong in-house team, strong drafting skills across contracts, policies and settlement agreements, a confident communicator with a practical, client-first mindset, keen to develop business awareness and contribute to client relationship-building, proactive, organised and collaborative—someone who enjoys working as part of a close-knit team. Being based in South Wales or the South West of England would be desirable but not essential.

In return, you will receive high-quality work and a genuinely varied client base, close mentorship and hands-on training, a supportive, friendly culture with a true team ethos, and a competitive salary.
