P4 Recruitment is recruiting for a proactive, energetic and hands-on Team Leader to join a children's residential home supporting three young boys with learning disabilities and complex needs.

This is an opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a genuine difference to children's lives and who understands that great residential care is about much more than simply meeting the requirements of a care plan.

We are looking for someone who can think outside the box, build meaningful relationships and actively engage with the children, helping them feel safe, supported and encouraged to reach their potential.

About the home

The home supports three young boys with learning disabilities and complex needs. Support is tailored to each child, with staffing arrangements including 1:1, 2:1 and, where required, 3:1 support.

Two of the children attend school, while one is home-educated. The role involves helping create a positive, stimulating and nurturing environment where each child can develop, learn and enjoy meaningful experiences.

The role

As Team Leader, you will:

  • Lead and support the residential team to deliver high-quality, person-centred care.
  • Be hands-on and actively involved in daily activities, play and interactions with the children.
  • Think creatively and proactively to engage the boys and respond to their individual needs.
  • Support children with learning disabilities and complex needs, promoting independence, development and positive outcomes.
  • Guide staff in delivering consistent, individualised support.
  • Maintain high standards of safeguarding, care planning and record keeping.
  • Help create a fun, energetic and supportive home environment where children can thrive.

What we are looking for

We are ideally looking for someone who:

  • Has previous experience in children's residential care, ideally at Team Leader or Senior level.
  • Holds a Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare or an equivalent relevant qualification.
  • Is energetic, proactive and confident taking the initiative.
  • Has experience supporting children with learning disabilities and complex needs.
  • Takes a person-centred approach and enjoys getting involved rather than simply directing others.
  • Can think outside the box, adapt their approach and find creative ways to meet individual needs.
  • Can lead by example and motivate a team to deliver excellent care. xgikmsk

A driving licence is desirable but not essential.
