About the Role
As Team Leader, you will be responsible for delivering safe, high-quality, and recovery-focused care. Working alongside the Registered Manager, youll provide day-to-day leadership, mentor staff, and ensure the service remains a positive, inclusive, and therapeutic environment.
This full-time position follows a structured four-week rolling rota with varied shifts between 6am and 10pm, Monday to Friday, and includes one Saturday shift per month. While flexibility may be offered for the right candidate, some availability outside of standard hours is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, support, and mentor staff daily to maintain excellent standards of care.
- Ensure compliance with CQC and regulatory frameworks.
- Deliver recovery-focused, person-centred care and maintain quality documentation.
- Manage and supervise senior support staff.
- Participate in recruitment, training, and appraisals.
- Maintain oversight of health and safety, safeguarding, and incident management.
- Coordinate staffing rotas, assist with budgeting, and contribute to the day-to-day operations.
- Support referrals and promote effective communication with other professionals.
- Foster a culture of equality, inclusion, and continuous improvement.
- Deputise for the manager when required and participate in the local on-call rota.
Requirements
- Experience supporting individuals with complex mental health needs.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Good knowledge of CQC standards, safeguarding, and governance frameworks.
- Commitment to person-centred, recovery-focused care.
- Skilled in care planning, audits, and documentation.
