We are seeking an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to lead a children’s residential home specialising in Learning Disabilities (LD) and Trauma‑informed care. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of vulnerable children and young people by providing safe, nurturing, and therapeutic care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Register with Ofsted as the Registered Manager and maintain compliance with all regulations and standards
  • Provide strong, inspirational leadership to the staff team
  • Develop and maintain a trauma‑informed, child‑centred culture
  • Ensure high standards of safeguarding, care planning, and risk management
  • Manage staffing, recruitment, supervision, training, and performance
  • Oversee budgets, occupancy, and financial performance
  • Build positive relationships with children, families, placing authorities, and external professionals
  • Lead on inspections and action plans to achieve Good or Outstanding outcomes

Essential Requirements

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
  • Significant experience working in children’s residential care, ideally with LD and/or trauma backgrounds
  • Previous experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager
  • Strong knowledge of Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • A genuine passion for improving outcomes for children and young people
