We're looking for a dedicated Activity Support Worker to join our team supporting individuals with severe learning disabilities and autism. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who enjoys bringing ideas to life, creating meaningful experiences, and helping people thrive through engaging, person-centred activities.
What You'll Be Doing:
No two days are the same! You'll play a key role in planning, developing, and delivering exciting and meaningful activity sessions, including:
- Sensory drama
- Music sessions
- Arts & crafts
- Gardening & hydrotherapy activities
- Sensory storytelling
You will also:
- Monitor activities and complete detailed records and reviews
- Support and guide staff during activity sessions
- Organise and maintain activity equipment
- Attend signing groups and communication meetings when required
What We're Looking For:
We're searching for someone who is caring, enthusiastic, and adaptable, with:
- Knowledge and understanding of severe learning disabilities and communication needs
- Understanding of person-centred care approaches
- Knowledge of autism
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Strong literacy and organisational abilities
- A creative, flexible, and proactive attitude
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) preferred but not essential
- A full UK driving licence essential
