Location: Halifax (with work across additional services in Leeds)

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 dependent on experience

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (30-minute break)

P4 is working alongside our client who is looking for a Band 5 Occupational Therapist to join their team in Yorkshire. You will be joining a dynamic group of professionals committed to excellence and innovation in care.

As a Band 5 Occupational Therapist, you will play a key part in supporting recovery and promoting independence through high-quality interventions in a mental health supported living setting. For over 20 years, they have been providing recovery-focused mental health, learning disability, and rehabilitation services across Lancashire and Yorkshire. We specialise in mental health supported living, offering tailored care and support to individuals on their recovery journey. They are rated OUTSTANDING by CQC and hold the Investors in People Gold accreditation. About the Therapy Team

In this supportive environment, you will collaborate closely with colleagues who share a passion for improving lives. Our team includes:

  • A Consultant Clinical Psychologist who also serves as Head of Therapy
  • A Lead Occupational Therapist
  • A Highly Specialised Occupational Therapist
  • A Specialist Occupational Therapist
  • Additional Occupational Therapists, together with an Occupational Therapy Assistant
  • Three Assistant Psychologists

You will work alongside a fellow Band 5 Occupational Therapist and an Assistant Psychologist, ensuring that you are fully supported through dedicated supervision from a Band 7 OT who oversees services in both Yorkshire and Lancashire, as well as further guidance from the Lead OT and Head of Therapies.

Responsibilities

  • Providing one-to-one and group interventions designed to enhance daily living skills and promote social inclusion.
  • Working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualised care plans that address the unique journey of each service user.
  • Contributing to the development of Occupational Therapy pathways and participating in initiatives that drive service enhancements.
  • Offering support across three sites in Halifax and Seacroft, Leeds. Travel between sites will be ad-hoc and driven by service user needs with mileage reimbursed at 45p per mile.

Experience Required:

  • A Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy and HCPC registration.
  • At least 6 months post-graduate experience, preferably within mental health settings.
  • A proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment with a varied caseload, and who demonstrates strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and service users.
  • A valid driving licence and access to a car, due to the requirement for multi-site travel.
