We are recruiting on behalf of our valued client, a market leading provider of IT Project Management Services, who is seeking an IT Project Manager to join their growing team on a permanent basis, although will consider this as a contract of fixed term position for the right applicant. The role offers hybrid working; however, the current customer requirement is to be on-site in Central London three days per week, which is non-negotiable, and therefore candidates must either live in London or the surrounding areas. You will receive a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package including profit share bonus, EAP, pension scheme, and life assurance.
The first project within this role will involve leading the delivery of a Global Datacentre Exit Project, with a particular focus on migrating services, applications and infrastructure from an on-premise data centre environment into Microsoft Azure. As such, candidates with proven experience of planning and delivering on-premise to Azure migration projects will be of particular interest. Future projects may include the end-to-end delivery of software application projects and infrastructure deployments, with a strong focus on ERP, CRM and other enterprise platforms. You will be responsible for delivery plans, risks, budgets, and stakeholder engagement, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver ERP, CRM and enterprise software projects end-to-end
- Lead on-premise data centre migration projects into Microsoft Azure, including planning, cutover, dependency management and service transition
- Define scope, plans and milestones across multi-disciplinary teams
- Lead implementation, configuration, customisation and integrations
- Oversee data migration, cutover and validation activity
- Manage vendors, suppliers and technical teams
- Run governance, RAID management and progress reporting
- Support business change and user adoption
- Budget tracking and cost control
About You
You will have 5+ years of experience as an IT Project Manager delivering complex software solutions. Whilst not essential for our London Clients, you must hold a driving licence, and have access to a vehicle, as future project engagements may be outside of Central London and inaccessible to public transport. Applicants must already hold the right to work in the UK, as our client is unable to provide visa sponsorship at this time.
You will bring experience in:
- Proven experience delivering on-premise data centre migrations into Microsoft Azure, ideally within complex enterprise environments
- Delivering CRM, ERP and enterprise applications (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, ServiceNow)
- Managing data migration and integrations
- Understanding of cloud migration principles, infrastructure dependencies, cutover planning and post-migration stabilisation
- Working with Agile and Waterfall methods
