A leading multi model logistics business is looking for a Transport Planner to join their Middlesbrough site. As an experienced Transport Planner you will assist in planning routes; managing drivers and ensuring the fleet are maintained.The role will be on apermanent night shift.
As a Transport Planner you will assist with the day to day running of vehicles to ensure prompt and on time deliveries to customers. You will be required to update transport systems to track vehicle, trailer and job status to meet delivery timings. You will ensure vehicles and trailers are serviced and MOT\βd before being used and assist drivers in managing their hours and break requirements to be compliant at all times. You will also be required to assist drivers and customers with queries and any issues that arise during a route.
The right candidate will have similar experience in a transport environment; ideally with knowledge of containers. Ideally the person will be confident; strong communicator and able to work under pressure. It would also be an advantage if you have worked with Transport Software.
The role will be based in their Middlesbrough depot and the working hours will be on a permanent night shift either 6pm-4am or 7pm β 5am. There is some flexibility to work either Sunday β Thursday or Monday β Friday.
On offer is a salary of Β£28,000-Β£30,000 per annum depending on experience as well as a number of company benefits.
