About the Role

As a DeFi Trader, you will help drive GSR’s trading activity across decentralized markets, with a focus on performance, risk management, and opportunity identification. Working alongside DeFi engineers and researchers, you will leverage GSR’s infrastructure and market connectivity across liquidity provisioning, principal trading, and yield-generation strategies. Prior crypto or DeFi experience is beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and improve DeFi trading strategies across decentralized venues and protocols.
  • Monitor trading performance, market conditions, and risk exposures.
  • Identify trading opportunities and areas for strategy improvement.
  • Support liquidity provisioning, principal trading, and yield-generation activity.
  • Stay close to market structure and protocol developments.
  • Assess new venues, protocols, and trading opportunities.
  • Share insights that inform trading decisions and strategic direction.

Your Profile

  • Minimum 1 year of professional trading experience, ideally in complex or less liquid markets.
  • Strong commercial judgment, risk awareness, and decision-making under pressure.
  • Ability to use data to test ideas and improve trading performance.
  • Coding ability, with experience using programming to analyse data or support trading decisions.
  • Interest in DeFi, crypto market structure, and on-chain trading.
  • Degree in a technical or quantitative subject, or equivalent practical experience.
