The Opportunity: As FP&A Manager at GSR, you will play a central role in shaping financial planning, forecasting, and decision support across the business. Partnering closely with department heads, you’ll provide commercial insight to senior leadership and take ownership of core planning, reporting, and cost management processes. This is a hands‑on opportunity within a fast‑growing, global crypto trading firm, offering broad exposure across the organisation and the chance to build, scale, and automate finance processes as GSR continues to grow.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial planning & Analysis
- Own the annual budgeting process and bi‑annual reforecast cycles.
- Build and maintain financial models to support budgeting, forecasting and scenario analysis.
- Act as a finance business partner to department heads, providing insight into performance and cost drivers, and supporting decision‑making through financial analysis.
- Manage monthly and quarterly reporting cycles, including month‑end reviews, management reporting and Board materials.
- Lead process improvement initiatives to automate and simplify FP&A and reporting workflows.
- Support and lead ad hoc analytical and strategic projects as required.
- Own the end‑to‑end overheads and accounts payable process, from purchase requests through to cost reporting.
- Develop a deep understanding of cost drivers and spend patterns, proactively identifying risks and operational issues.
- Act as the primary point of coordination between FP&A, Procurement and the wider business on cost management.
- Line‑manage the AP Analyst, providing coaching, guidance and performance oversight.
- Drive continuous improvement and automation of AP processes and controls.
What We’re Looking For:
- A positive, proactive attitude with enthusiasm for the role, continuous learning, and the crypto industry.
- Strong financial and commercial acumen, with the ability to translate insight into actionable impact.
- Strong data analytics and presentation skills, with advanced proficiency in Google Sheets (or Microsoft Excel) and PowerPoint.
- Experience with ERP and accounts payable systems, preferably Oracle NetSuite.
- Proven experience in financial modelling, budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting.
- A demonstrated track record of improving, automating, and scaling finance processes.
- Experience in a trading firm is a plus, but not essential.
- Experience with scripting or automation tools (e.g. Excel VBA, Google Apps Script, Tableau) is a plus.
- CIMA, ACCA, or ACA qualified.
