We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior HGV Vehicle Technician to join our professional team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles, ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety. Duties
- Conduct comprehensive diagnostics on vehicles using specialised equipment and tools.
- Perform repairs and maintenance tasks including engine, transmission, brake systems, suspension, and electrical components.
- Utilise hand tools and power tools efficiently to carry out repairs and servicing.
- Ensure all work complies with manufacturer specifications and safety regulations.
- Keep detailed records of work performed, parts used, and time taken for each job.
- Assist junior technicians when required and provide guidance based on extensive technical knowledge.
- Maintain a clean and organised workshop environment to promote safety and efficiency.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with proven experience in vehicle repair and maintenance.
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, etc., as well as power tools including drills and impact wrenches.
- Excellent diagnostic skills with the ability to identify faults accurately and efficiently.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail ensuring high-quality workmanship at all times.
- Effective communication skills to liaise with team members and clients professionally.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
