PT Winchester distribute a wide range of textile components such as sewing threads, zips, cord and VELCRO® Brand tapes from its small warehouse and office in Bishop's Lydeard.
As our Order Packer your principal role will be the picking of stock from warehouse racking to fulfil, and then pack, orders ready for our daily courier collection. The role is Monday to Friday, part time, from around 11am to 3pm each day.
Key responsibilities:- Accurately identify and collect ordered items from stock locations using a barcode scanner.
- Weigh out quantities of smaller items for order packing.
- Neatly pack order items picked into suitably selected boxes or postal bags with adequate packing for good protection and correctly label with printed address labels ready for courier collection.
- Assist with stock takes and ensuring stock is accurately recorded and well looked after.
- Help keep warehouse and packing area clean and tidy.
- Assist in other areas of the business as needed.
- An organised and task focused approach to work where speed, accuracy and care combine for best efficiency.
- Ability to work on your feet walking and packing for over 3 hours per day as necessary.
- This is an opportunity for an active individual seeking a part time role, happy working independently in a manual warehouse role with the support of our small office team.
