P+S Care and Support are currently recruiting for Support Workers to work for one of our clients, supporting young people within supported living and solo housing. Are you passionate and eager to provide first class care to young people that promotes independence?
Pay Scales: £12.50 - £18.00 per hour
If you are taking on a role as a support worker and displaying responsibility for the young person, it is expected that you are positive, consistent and encourage role modelling, allowing them to strengthen their trust and build strong relationships.
As a confident support worker, you will follow a specific Behaviour Management Plan and Care Plan to safeguard the young people. You will help to inspire and encourage them in behaving in a respectful and appropriate manner.
This is an exciting opportunity that is on a temporary to permanent basis and can offer up to 70 hours per week!
For this particular role, the Young People may have:
- Challenging Behaviour
- Drug and/or alcohol problems
- Mental Health difficulties
- Criminal Exploitation related trouble
- Bail conditions to follow
Your responsibilities as a support worker are completely varied but here are just a few:
- Assure all young people are safeguarded and listened to
- Encourage and motivate young people to participate in group activities
- Enhancing the ability to build positive relationships with young people we care for
- Write clear and detailed follow up reports
- Accommodate to the young person's needs, self-reliance and living in order to look after their emotional and physical wellbeing
