This role leads a client service team to deliver better client engagement through improved solutions, sitting at the forefront of commercial engagement to drive commercial success. You will listen and respond to client needs, drive commercial engagement across a portfolio of clients, and optimise engagement and revenue.
Key Account Management: Directly lead a portfolio of c.10 existing and strategically important clients. Oversee overall engagement with a primary focus on commercial activity, ensuring clients get full value from current services, creating engagement activity, and identifying growth opportunities across the full range of services. Operate up to the CEO level, focusing primarily on commercial leaders and insight teams.
Commercial Growth: Drive renewals and upgrades to existing client subscriptions. Identify new opportunities for consulting projects and work with consulting and insight teams to generate high-quality leads, proposals, and solutions. Achieve monthly and annual sales targets for online and consulting services, with client retention as the primary measure of success.
Leadership: Lead and develop two Commercial Managers who are each responsible for a portfolio of c.30 clients. Set clear goals, drive accountability, motivate the team, and align performance with business objectives. Coach and mentor individuals of varying experience levels, implement best practices, and lead the team through change.
You have: Gravitas and a strong interest in the grocery industry. A natural curiosity to explore new ideas, challenge assumptions, and drive efficiencies. A proven commercial background with experience gained from working in the retail, manufacturing, or research space. Leadership and coaching skills to help develop the wider customer-facing team.
