We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Quantity Surveyor to join our modular construction and infrastructure team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of cost estimation, budgeting, and financial control throughout the lifecycle of projects. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong background in cost control and a keen eye for detail to contribute to the successful delivery of high-quality projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for the commercial management of projects.
- Ensuring clear and concise measurement, valuations, variations, preparation, submission, and agreement of interim and final accounts.
- Produce BOQs, monitor cash collection, monitor sub-contractor accounts, ensure budgets are met, and attend regular finance meetings.
- Assisting in implementing the business plan and developing business opportunities.
- Regular and accurate reporting to the Commercial Manager and Managing Director.
Desirable
- Experienced Quantity Surveyor with a proven track record in successful project delivery and a minimum of 3 years’ industry experience, including significant involvement in groundwork and civil engineering packages.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, forms, techniques, and associated construction costs, particularly within groundwork, drainage, excavation, and infrastructure works.
- Qualification in Quantity Surveying or membership of a relevant professional body.
- Clear understanding of contractual obligations, breaches, and remedies.
- Competent knowledge of a range of procurement options available in the industry.
- Familiarity with current legal and regulatory developments in respect of construction and associated law.
- Experience in Construction estimating software (Conquest).
