P.McCarthy Ltd have permanent opportunities for suitably qualified & experienced Car Transporter Drivers based in Brandon, Suffolk. The ideal candidate will have experience driving and operating either a TE+11 or TE Odyssey transporter and be capable of working to a consistently high standard in this quality driven and demanding environment.
The positions require up to 4 nights out per week with a tax free night out allowance. We offer competitive pay, a damage bonus scheme, regular training and full uniform / PPE. This is an opportunity to join a growing family run business distributing new vehicles to dealer outlets, rental companies and distribution centres on behalf of various vehicle manufacturers and suppliers.
The role involves both local and national deliveries, working with a range of vehicle products including prestige brands, names and manufacturers. You must also be able to meet the physical demands of the job including loading and unloading of vehicles, working in all weathers whilst being comfortable working at various heights.
You must possess a current C + E / HGV 1 licence and hold a valid driver CPC card. Experience of using Hand Held Terminals or similar electronic work-planning devices would be desirable.
