We are seeking a detail-oriented and quality-driven Inbound Quality Control (QC) Inspector to join our cosmetics manufacturing and distribution team. In this role, you will inspect and verify all incoming raw materials, packaging components, and finished goods to ensure compliance with company standards, regulatory requirements, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). You will play a key role in maintaining product safety, quality, and integrity, ensuring that only compliant materials are released for production and that non-conforming items are effectively quarantined and documented.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect incoming product and packaging components for accuracy, condition, and compliance with specifications.
- Verify dimensions, weights, labeling, and packaging quality in accordance with approved quality standards.
- Review supplier documentation such as Certificates of Analysis (CoA), Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), and product specifications.
- Identify, label, and segregate non-conforming, damaged, or contaminated goods in the quarantine area.
- Maintain clear and accurate quarantine records, ensuring traceability and compliance with GMP.
- Communicate deviations to the wider business and support root cause investigations or supplier corrective actions.
- Ensure the quarantine area remains organized, clearly marked, and compliant with hygiene and safety standards.
- Record inspection findings accurately in the quality management system.
- Prepare inspection reports, deviation logs, and non-conformance records.
- Support internal and external audits by providing accurate and up-to-date documentation.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in cosmetics, personal care, or pharmaceutical manufacturing or distribution.
- Knowledge of GMP, ISO 22716, and basic quality inspection processes.
- Experience using measurement and weighing tools (scales, gauges, calipers, etc.).
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and documentation accuracy.
- Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with multiple departments.
- Familiarity with ERP or quality management systems (QMS).
