We are seeking a detail-oriented and data-driven Email Marketing Specialist to join our growing beauty brand. This role is key in building strong customer relationships through engaging, personalized, and conversion-driven email campaigns. You’ll be responsible for planning, creating, testing, and analysing email communications that drive sales, nurture loyalty, and reflect our brand’s creative identity.
About the Role
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of email marketing principles and practices, with experience in planning, executing, and analysing email marketing campaigns.
Key Responsibilities
- Campaign Management: Plan, build, and execute email marketing campaigns including product launches, promotions, newsletters, and customer retention flows.
- Content Creation: Collaborate with designers and copywriters to develop on-brand, visually appealing, and compelling email content.
- Segmentation & Personalization: Use customer data to segment audiences and deliver personalized messaging that resonates with different customer groups.
- Automation: Set up and optimize automated email flows (welcome series, abandoned cart, post-purchase, re-engagement, etc.) to maximize conversions.
- A/B Testing: Conduct subject line, content, and send-time tests to optimize performance.
- Analytics & Reporting: Monitor key metrics (open rates, CTR, conversion, revenue per email) and provide insights to inform future strategies.
- Compliance: Ensure all emails follow GDPR, CAN-SPAM, and other email marketing best practices.
- Collaboration: Work with e-commerce, creative, and product teams to align email marketing with campaigns, launches, and business goals.
Qualifications & Skills
- Proven experience as an Email Marketing Specialist or in a similar digital marketing role (experience in beauty, fashion, or consumer goods a plus).
- Proficiency in email marketing platforms (e.g., Klaviyo, Mailchimp, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, HubSpot).
- Strong understanding of segmentation, personalization, and automation.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and optimize campaigns.
- Knowledge of HTML/CSS for email formatting (basic level acceptable).
- Excellent copywriting and editing skills with attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and project management abilities.
Desirable (Nice to Have)
- Experience with CRM systems and customer lifecycle marketing.
- Familiarity with SMS marketing and push notifications.
- Interest in beauty and makeup trends.
