Introduction

We are currently looking for candidates who are interested in becoming apprentices and joining the carpentry sector of the building world. you'll work under the guidance and direction of an experienced carpenter or craftsperson. You’ll carry out all aspects of carpentry from new-built homes to refurbishments.

About the Employer

PGM Carpentry manages the carpentry requirements across over 40 new build sites including the whole of Essex, Suffolk and London.We strive on making sure our work is up to standards and take pride in making sure our workforce is taken care of!

What You'll Do

  • Learn the process of understanding drawings and work in accordance with specifications
  • Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed
  • Follow health and safety policy and procedures, including the wearing of personal protective equipment (PPE) where needed
  • Use various tools, equipment and materials safely

Installation of the following:

  • Joists
  • Roofing
  • First fixing
  • Window installation
  • Cladding
  • Decking
  • Second fixing
  • Kitchen installation
  • Finals

Training Outcome

Once the apprenticeship has been completed, you will be a fully qualified carpenter and have the option to stay on with us as a subcontractor.

Apprenticeship Level: Intermediate

Working Arrangements

Working Week: Monday - Friday, 7.30am - 4.30pm, but you will have 1 day a week at college (To be confirmed).

Expected Duration: 3 Years
