Essential
Functions: (the position exists to perform these functions) Operate the industrial dishwasher Wash dishes, sweep/mop floors, clean and maintain equipment, sanitize utensils and maintain all areas of the restaurant.
Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment or utensils in clean and orderly conditions.
Clean food preparation areas, facilities or equipment.
Execute proper sanitation practices and safety procedures Place clean dishes, utensils or cooking equipment in storage areas.
Empty and clean all trash receptacles Ability to operate kitchen equipment including the coffee machine, ice tea machine, lemon slicer and the POS system.
Provide assistance to line cook and other kitchen staff as needed, especially during peak times, including basic prep Load or unload trucks that deliver or pick up food or supplies.
Perform opening, closing and side work Clean up spills or broken glassware immediately Report any sanitation or janitorial issues to appropriate party Maintain all areas of the restaurant.
